FAQ

Scope, delivery and project-side works.

Clear answers for planning a modular biomass boiler room project: what can be included in the module, what is usually prepared on site, and what information is needed for a quote.

Project scope

What is included?

The final scope depends on module size, fuel type, boiler power and local requirements, but a heating module can be delivered as a complete technical package.

What can be included in the module delivery?
  • Complete module in the selected construction type: container, concrete, wood or steel
  • Hargassner biomass boiler with project-specific equipment
  • Pellet or wood chip fuel storage
  • Fuel extraction and feeding system
  • Hydraulic connection materials inside the module
  • Electrical installation inside the module
  • Ventilation openings and technical access
  • Optional chimney, stairs and service platform
  • Installation and commissioning support
Can the module include buffer tanks and accessories?

Yes. Depending on the project, the module can be configured with buffer tanks, connection materials, filling system, ventilation, chimney components, service access equipment and automation-related equipment.

Are Hargassner boilers available?

Yes. The modules are available with Hargassner biomass boiler systems. We design heating modules with Hargassner pellet and wood chip boiler technology, depending on project requirements.

Site preparation

What is not included?

These items are usually handled by the client, local contractor or project-side construction team unless agreed separately.

Which works are usually project-side?
  • Foundation, base slab or prepared support structure
  • Earthworks and external civil works
  • Rainwater drainage and site drainage
  • Heating network connection from the module to the building
  • Main electrical supply connection to the module
  • Permits, local approvals and site-specific civil documentation where required
Who prepares the foundation?

The foundation is usually prepared on site according to the module layout and project requirements. Foundation drawings or requirements can be coordinated during the engineering phase.

Who connects the module to the building?

The external heating network, main electrical supply and site utilities are usually connected by the project-side contractor. The module is prepared for connection according to the agreed technical interface.

Information needed for a quote

Send the most important project details first. We can help define the final configuration after review.

Heating demand

Required boiler power in kW, building type, heat demand profile and whether one boiler or cascade operation is preferred.

Fuel and storage

Preferred fuel type: pellets or wood chips, expected fuel autonomy, available space and fuel delivery access.

Site conditions

Project country, location, access limitations, planned foundation, connection distance and any local fire-safety or documentation requirements.
